Pregnancy Pain
A Message From Leslie Kremer, DPT, Owner, and Founder
A woman’s pregnancy is one of the most incredible and life-changing experiences she can have. It can also be difficult to care for yourself during this time. Pelvic floor abnormalities, on the other hand, are common during this time and can be easily corrected with minimal effort. Taking care of these issues as they arise will save you years of pain and incontinence. During pregnancy, it is estimated…
- 45% of pregnant women experience pelvic girdle pain. This can cause daily and/or sexual pain.
- Stress urinary incontinence affects 19% to 70% of pregnant women.
- The following delivery…
- 35% of new mothers experience stress urinary incontinence during the postpartum period (leaking during coughing, sneezing, lifting, leaping, and so on).
- More than half of pregnant women develop diastasis recti abdominis. (A diastasis rectus abdominis separates the abdominal muscles from their central tendon, which causes low back pain, stress urinary incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse.)
- 20% of first-time mothers have serious pelvic floor muscle injuries after a standard pregnancy/delivery.
- 25% of women with pregnancy-related pelvic girdle pain continue to have pain after giving birth.
Don’t Wait Any Longer; Prenatal Postnatal Therapy Can Help.
- Tired of leaking pee (incontinence) while jogging, leaping, or simply going about your daily business?
- Are you concerned about persistent postpartum back, hip, or pelvic pain?
- Feeling self-conscious, frustrated, or disappointed after your child's birth and convinced you'll never regain control of your body?
- Is sex painful or inconvenient for you?
- Frustrated that other PT tactics haven't worked or unsure what to try?
- Are you looking for a long-term, natural solution to eliminate these issues (without pills or surgery) permanently?
If You Answered “Yes” to Any of These Questions, You’ve Come to the Right Place!
- Your doctor recommends resting for six weeks before returning to your normal activities. You still have problems after a few days, weeks, months, or even years.
- You'll quickly get back in shape if you watch some YouTube workout videos, but those sessions will hurt and cause leaks, leaving you miserable and demoralized.
- Pain or abdominal separation after childbirth is "natural," and "everyone leaks" or has bladder control issues as they age.
- Take some pain relievers, and everything will be fine.
- There's only medicine, surgery, or "dealing with it."
The Truth Is…
- It makes no difference if you rest. You may experience temporary relief, but when you return to work, you will still experience pelvic discomfort, leaking, and other postpartum symptoms (as I'm sure you have!).
- While it is fairly common, having prolonged pain or urine leaks after pregnancy... or even as you get older... is NOT NORMAL.
- Pain relievers are addictive, dangerous, and can lead to various other health problems.
- Medicine, surgery, and injections are not the only treatment options. They are the only options your doctor has given you.
If You’re Tired of Having Painful Sex, a Mommy Tummy, or Chronic Low Back Pain, Prenatal Postnatal Therapy Can Help You Get Back to Doing What You Love (Even if It’s Been 20 Years!) Without the Use of Pills, Pads, or Surgery.
You must choose the best healthcare provider for your specific needs. If you don’t, you risk having unnecessary surgery, becoming addicted to drugs or painkillers… or living the rest of your life with worsening symptoms.
To avoid recurrence, leakage, abdominal separation, pelvic floor dysfunction, and postpartum hip/back/pelvic discomfort must be treated using the “least-invasive,” most natural method.
A provider who understands how the body works are required for recovery. Pregnancy and postpartum both change our bodies. To recover fully, we must address the neck/back/diaphragm/core/pelvic floor/pelvis, posture, strength, and body use. It’s more than just Kegels!
We must treat more than just the symptoms to ensure a complete recovery. You must work with a professional who is willing to look into the underlying causes of your symptoms and dysfunction. That is when you will get a PERMANENT solution to your postpartum problems.
We’ve Developed a Three-Step Procedure at Prenatal Postnatal Therapy to Eliminate Your Postpartum Problems and Ensure You Never Have to Deal With Them Again.
STEP 1 - WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR STORY.
Our healthcare system irritates me. You wait weeks, if not months, for an appointment to speak with the doctors for 10 minutes before they rush to the next patient, leaving you scratching your head, wondering, “What just happened?”
This is how the majority of physical therapy clinics operate. They are inattentive and hurry; your therapist does not have time to learn about your goals or work with you one-on-one. That is why we work so differently!
That is why we want to hear your story first.
After successfully working with numerous postpartum women, we understand that no two people are alike. Each person has a unique body, history, and pain and symptom patterns.
As a result, as a first step, we will hold an open chat and allow you to share your story. That way, we’ll have a better understanding of not only what’s wrong with your body but also how it’s affecting your life.
STEP 2 - DETERMINE WHY YOUR SYMPTOMS STARTED
Many people have a medical term or diagnosis to describe what is wrong with their bodies. Maybe it was prescribed by their doctor, maybe tests revealed the condition, or maybe you found out about it online.
You may have been diagnosed with Prolapse, Diastasis Recti, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Incontinence, Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Pain, or Hip/Back/Pelvic Pain.
You were probably told that your only options were to relax, take medication, or wait.
These measures may provide temporary relief, but they do not address the underlying cause of the problem.
Each individual’s source of pain or symptoms is distinct. Nobody has the same problem as someone else because of the same item.
Our goal at Prenatal Postnatal Therapy is to treat the underlying cause of your discomfort so that it not only goes away but stays away!
We understand that you may still be skeptical of Integrative Physical Therapy. As a result of this, we created a low-cost Discovery/Screening Visit.
Our Discovery Visits are intended for people who are skeptical, uncertain or have been disappointed in the past. During the Discovery Visit, you will learn what is wrong and how long it will take to correct it and gain confidence that your condition can be resolved naturally!
STEP 3 - GET RID OF THE PROBLEM AND KEEP IT FROM REAPPEARING
This is when major changes occur. We offer a personalized plan that allows you to…
…resume physical activity (even running or jumping!) without fear of resuming pain, stiffness, or bladder control issues.
…be able to interact with your children, lift and carry them easily.
…resume intimate relationships with your partner without fear of pain.
…return to your favorite form of exercise (yoga, running, tennis, etc.).
As your body heals from the Diastasis Recti/Abdominal Separation and regains full core strength, you will regain your power, confidence, and sexiness.
Our ideal clients are motivated individuals who want to reclaim their active lifestyle. (Even if they are currently imprisoned!)
Do you want to learn more about our availability and pricing before committing to visit?
You don’t have to give up your hobbies or family life because of problems that can be fixed.

Leslie is phenomenal! She helped me physically recover post-caesarean (my baby was breach) with exercises and breathing techniques that were foundational in rebuilding my core.
I also had pain during intercourse. She found the problem, fixed it, and I am pain free today.
I would highly recommend Leslie. She’s personable and truly wants the best for her clients.
